After a year of phenomenal growth and recognition, Church Church Hittle and Antrim (CCHA Law) can look back on 2023 with pride. We want to take this opportunity as we begin a new year to reflect on the highlights of the past year and recognize the outstanding attorneys who have elevated our field, and who continue to partner with CCHA Law, providing our community with trusted legal advice. Our team of professionals is dedicated to serving clients and improving the communities where we work and live, carrying forward that excitement of the important work ahead into 2024.


2023 Awards and Recognitions

Our CCHA Law team was recognized with statewide awards in 2023 for their expertise and talent. CCHA Law attorneys received the following awards in 2023:

  • The Indiana Super Lawyers 2023 list included twelve CCHA Law attorneys. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. CCHA Law attorneys who were listed among the top Indiana attorneys included:


  • The Indiana Super Lawyers 2023 list of Rising Stars also included CCHA Law attorneys:




  • Steven David was awarded the Diversity in Law Award by The Indiana Lawyer for his efforts to diversify the legal profession across the state. The award recognized men and women who are leading the way in their efforts and making the largest impact throughout Indiana.




  • Doug Church was recognized by Nickel Plate Arts with their 2023 Arts Patron of the Year Award for his extensive efforts to support the arts in Hamilton County. The Arts Patron of the Year Award distinguishes people who publicly support and invest in the arts.


  • Julie Roe Lach was named to IBJ's 2023 Indiana 250 List, a list of the state’s most influential and impactful business and community leaders, representing public and private companies, law firms, universities, non-profits, and government and community organizations.




  • CCHA Law was honored with the Business of the Year finalist award by the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce. CCHA Law was proud to be among Individuals and businesses who were recognized for making impactful contributions to advancing the city’s success.


  • CCHA Law was awarded the Governor’s Century Award, presented by Governor Eric J. Holcomb at this year’s Governor Century and Half Century Awards Ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse. This award is given to companies in recognition of the company’s longevity and service to its employees, community, and the state for at least 100 years.

Growth and Expansion

In the year 2023, CCHA Law experienced significant growth. We merged with Burrus & Sease in Zionsville, expanding our presence and services in Boone County, and welcomed talented new attorneys to our team. As a result, we were able to better serve our expanding client base while remaining committed to the community.


  • In January 2023, CCHA Law expanded its Zionsville footprint through a merger with Burrus & Sease, welcoming Roger Burrus and Beth Sease as Of Counsel with CCHA Law. Read more about our exciting merge and celebration here.



  • CCHA Law welcomed five new attorneys to the firm including:
    • Steven David, Former Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice and Of Counsel at CCHA, contributing firm-wide, particularly in Mediation, Appellate, and Litigation, including Family and Business Law practice section

    • Aaron Hernandez, Of Counsel in the Sports Law practice section

    • Caroline Crouch, Associate in the School and Education Law practice section

    • Connor Glass, Associate in the Sports Law and Higher Education practice sections

    • Isaac Peterson, Associate in the Estate Planning, Business Services, and Personal Injury practice section

    • Rachel Dever, Associate in the Litigation practice section
