Leslie is an experienced skilled civil litigator; and is a Certified Family Law Specialist - Family Law Certification Board. She serves on the Indiana Supreme Court Innovation Initiative Task Force. In her litigation practice, Leslie focuses on the complexities of preserving and dividing businesses, farms and other sizable assets of self-employed and high net worth individuals including the intricacies of pension and retirement plans and executive compensation packages involving deferred income such as stock unit awards, restricted stock, and stock options. Additionally she enjoys helping clients with interstate custody and jurisdiction issues. In 2017, Leslie was a candidate and semi-finalist in the Judicial Nominating Commission’s interviews to select the 110th Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court.
Prior to joining CCHA, Leslie served as law clerk to the Honorable J. Patrick Endsley, Magistrate Judge, and U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Additionally, Leslie is a certified mediator and serves as Judge Pro Tem for the Hamilton County Superior Courts.
Leslie's professional involvement includes the Indiana State Bar Association where she currently serves as Past-President and President in 2020 leading the organization's almost 10,000 attorneys. Leslie serves as chair of the Nominating Committee, the Board of Governors and is former Chair of the Membership and Membership Benefits Committee and the Women in Law Committee; she has served the Budget and Finance Committee, House of Delegates, and volunteers in the Mentor Match program. Additionally, Leslie has been a Board Member and fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation; and an Ex Officio member of the Indiana University McKinney School of Law Board of Visitors.
Locally, Leslie was honored to receive the Distinguished Alumni Impact Award from the Hamilton County Leadership Academy in 2021. She also served two terms as an executive member of the Hamilton County Bar Association and President from 2012 to 2014. She currently serves the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and Board, and the Riverview Hospital Health Foundation. She served as a board member to the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club, and the Hanover College Parent's Board. Additionally, Leslie has authored and spoken at Invited Lectures for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, the Indianapolis Bar Association, Heartland Pro Bono, and the Indiana State Bar Association Solo and Small Practice Conference. Leslie completed her undergraduate degree at Indiana University, Bloomington and received her Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1990. While there, she served in the Phi Delta Phi fraternity as Exchequer.
Leslie is a graduate of New Albany High School. She is married to E. Allen Henderzahs, a teacher and coach at Mt. Vernon School Corporation. They have three daughters: Shelby, who is a Senior Client Service Associate at a local Financial Services firm and is married to Cory Weicht, a Senior Business Development Manager at Barnes and Thornburg; Caroline, who is a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry matriculating to a residency in periodontistry; and Madelyn, a graduate of the University of Indianapolis, continuing her studies in chemistry and healthcare.
