Brent’s practice consists primarily of advising and defending school corporations, colleges and universities, and small businesses on a wide variety of labor + employment issues ranging from fair employment practices to wage and hour compliance.
Brent also provides trial- and appellate-level litigation services for school corporations, colleges and universities, small businesses, and individuals. A former law clerk for the Honorable Margaret G. Robb of the Indiana Court of Appeals, Brent’s appellate practice includes arguing cases before the Indiana Supreme Court, the Indiana Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, as well as submitting “Friend of the Court” briefs on behalf of advocacy organizations to the Indiana Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Brent’s current community service includes work as the Director of the Athletics Ministry at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic School. Brent is a past Board President for Hamilton Southeastern High School’s Academy of Finance and past Vice President of the School Commission at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church. Brent and his wife Mandy live in Lawrence with their four boys + two dogs.
