About Molly

Molly is a partner in the firm’s Sports Law and Business Law practice groups.

Molly’s main area of practice consists of representing clients on a broad array of sports law matters. Molly primarily represents universities and coaches in NCAA investigations and other NCAA compliance matters that may arise on a collegiate campus. She regularly speaks to athletics administration, coaches and student-athletes on NCAA legislation and other initiatives. Molly is a Senior Advisor for CCHA Collegiate Sports Law, a CCHA affiliated entity with which CCHA regularly collaborates in servicing collegiate athletics clients. Molly’s practice is not limited to collegiate athletics, as she also represents clients in high school athletics administrative hearings and related matters.

In addition to her work in sports law, Molly advises business entities and individuals on intellectual property matters, including trademark filings and enforcement and copyright matters.

Prior to joining CCHA, Molly was the Associate General Counsel at USA Football, where she oversaw all legal matters for USA Football events, as well as assisted in employment law matters, sponsorship negotiations and intellectual property issues. Previous to USA Football, Molly was an Assistant Director of Enforcement at the NCAA, where she investigated and processed NCAA Division I, II and III cases relating to the violation of NCAA Bylaws. At the NCAA, Molly tried high profile and other enforcement cases and drafted legislation for the new Enforcement model.

Molly completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and earned her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. Molly is married to Jed Richman, a teacher and football coach at Pendleton Heights High School. They have two sons, J.R. and Toby.
