About Molly

Molly is a partner in the firm’s Sports Law, Business Law and School Law practice groups.

Molly’s main area of practice consists of representing clients on a broad array of sports law matters. Molly represents institutions and coaches in NCAA investigations, educational initiatives and any other compliance matter that may arise on a collegiate campus. Molly is a Senior Advisor for CCHA COLLEGIATE SPORTS CONSULTING, a CCHA affiliated entity with which CCHA regularly collaborates in servicing collegiate athletics clients. Molly’s practice is not limited to collegiate athletics, as she also represents clients in high school athletics administrative hearings and related matters. In addition, she represents sports entities and talent in contract negotiations and other general matters.

As part of the Business Law and School Law practices, Molly assists clients with drafting and negotiating contracts, including employment, independent contractor, non-competition contracts and residential and commercial leases. She advises school districts on matters related to students, employees and school boards and helps school districts with the drafting and negotiation of miscellaneous contracts and agreements.

Prior to joining CCHA, Molly was the Associate General Counsel at USA Football, where she oversaw all legal matters for USA Football events, including National Team and Heads Up Football events, as well as assisted in employment law matters, sponsorship negotiations and intellectual property issues. Previous to USA Football, Molly was an Assistant Director of Enforcement at the NCAA, where she investigated and processed cases relating to the violation of NCAA Bylaws. At the NCAA, Molly tried some of the most high profile enforcement cases in NCAA history, as well as drafted legislation for the new NCAA Enforcement model.

Molly completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and earned her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. Molly is married to Jed Richman, a teacher and football coach at Pendleton Heights High School. They have two sons, James and Toby, and a lovable dog they rescued, named Norm.
