#CCHACares: The Cabin Counseling Center

At CCHA Law, our #CCHACares initiative reflects our belief that strong communities are built on compassion, connection, and care, not only in times of celebration but also in moments of need. This fall, we were honored to support The Cabin Counseling Center as a “Play It Forward” sponsor for their annual Keys to Hope event on November 7, 2025.

Through this sponsorship, CCHA Law helps The Cabin continue its mission of providing accessible mental health care to those who need it most by transforming lives and strengthening communities across Central Indiana.

About The Cabin Counseling Center

Founded with the mission to transform lives through compassionate and professional counseling and education, The Cabin Counseling Center provides quality mental health care for individuals, couples, and families regardless of their ability to pay.

With locations in Zionsville, Westfield, and Lebanon, The Cabin serves as an important resource for those seeking healing and emotional well-being. Thanks to generous community donors, The Cabin remains focused on what matters most: helping people access the care they need.

In 2024 alone, The Cabin and its clinical staff provided more than $194,000 in assistance through its Samaritan Fund, ensuring that over 500 individuals, couples, and families received the counseling and support they needed to heal and grow.

In addition to helping individuals, The Cabin focuses on organizational wellness, offering impactful workshops for groups, teams, and organizations. They can work with groups of 400+ people to facilitate experiences, presentations, and meaningful workshops.

CCHA Law + The Cabin: Keys to Hope and Community Impact

CCHA Law was proud to support The Cabin’s Keys to Hope fundraiser, which directly helps provide mental health services to individuals and families in need.

This inspiring event brings together community members, partners, and advocates to raise funds for The Cabin’s programs, celebrating stories of healing and resilience while highlighting the ongoing need for accessible mental health care.

“The Cabin Counseling Center is a great organization in our Zionsville community that provides tremendous support to individuals and families. Their commitment to making mental health care accessible for everyone is truly inspiring, and we are proud to support the meaningful work they do every day.”

Q&A With Executive Director, Jennie Smith

Q: What inspires you most about leading The Cabin?

A: What inspires me most about working at The Cabin Counseling and Resource Center is the people! This fantastic team is changing lives! We are giving people the chance to find both healing and growth. I love the way The Cabin combines counseling with creative, experiential programming. It’s not only about addressing challenges, but also about helping individuals and communities rediscover resilience and joy. Seeing the impact of our work, whether through a wellness program, an event, or a breakthrough in counseling, reminds me that we’re building a safe, supportive space where people can thrive. That mission-driven focus keeps me energized and inspired every day!

Q: What is one thing you wish more people knew about The Cabin?

A: One thing I wish people knew about The Cabin is the depth of our services and programming. Beyond counseling, art therapy, and EMDR, we offer experiences that help teams and individuals strengthen communication, build resilience, and foster healthier workplace cultures. Our enneagram workshops, for example, give people practical tools to better understand themselves and their colleagues, creating more empathy and effectiveness in both professional and personal settings. These programs aren’t just add-ons, they’re transformative experiences that help organizations thrive and help individuals feel more connected and supported. I wish more people realized how The Cabin is shaping wellness not only for individuals, but for entire communities and workplaces.

Q: How can the community best support your mission?

A: The community can support our mission by engaging with us in several meaningful ways. First, through individual donations that directly sustain our Samaritan Fund, ensuring more people have access to the resources they need. Second, by partnering with us through corporate sponsorships, which directly support our scholarships and connect businesses to the impact we’re making in the community. Third, by booking our organizational wellness programming, like enneagram workshops, for your company. These workships help teams build resilience and healthier workplace cultures while supporting The Cabin’s broader mission. And finally, by referring individuals and families to our counseling services. Every referral helps someone take the first step toward healing and growth. Each of these actions: donating personally, sponsoring events, inviting us into your workplace, and sharing our counseling resources helps expand our reach and create lasting transformation for individuals, organizations, and the community.

Transforming Lives Through the Samaritan Fund

One of The Cabin’s most powerful initiatives, the Samaritan Fund, provides financial assistance to ensure that cost is never a barrier to care. Through this fund, donors make it possible for clients to receive counseling regardless of their financial situation.

Each year, hundreds of clients benefit from this vital program. They are gaining access to professional mental health care that promotes healing, growth, and stability. For many, The Cabin’s support is the first step toward long-term well-being.
