This month, CCHA Law is excited to highlight another nonprofit organization in our community that is doing important work to support community members with developmental disabilities like Down syndrome and autism. Noble is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities by providing services that promote independence, community involvement, and personal growth. Jane McGill at CCHA Law became connected to the organization through a friend who volunteers with Noble and whose brother has developmental disabilities.
Jane shared why she gives back to Noble.
“What I think is so special about Noble is how individualized the services are and how it prioritizes the dignity and uniqueness of each client it helps. If a person could benefit from music therapy, they can help make it happen. If the person needs job skills or life skills training to live more independently, they can provide that. If a family needs respite, Noble is there. From kids to adults, Noble meets clients where they are, always with the goal of helping them live meaningful lives where they get to contribute in their own ways and feel valued,” said Jane.
Coming up soon is Noble’s annual fundraising event, Noble Evening in the Garden, on March 14th. CCHA is proud to be an event sponsor and to highlight the event details below!
Based out of Indianapolis, Noble is committed to creating opportunities for people with disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives throughout Central and Eastern Indiana. The organization was founded in 1953 when a group of parents who had children with special needs decided to go against the common practice of institutionalizing their children. Alternately, they founded Noble School to give their children and others with disabilities the opportunity to learn and achieve their full potential.
Today, Noble has grown to serve 3,700 children and adults and their loved ones. Their focus remains the same - a commitment to inclusivity and empowerment, providing essential services that help individuals achieve their personal and professional goals while fostering a stronger, more inclusive community.
Through a variety of programs, Noble assists individuals in developing life skills, finding employment, and accessing therapies that enhance their independence. Their services range from summer day camps to family education, and from advocacy to music therapy - all designed to help individuals with disabilities thrive.
Noble offers the following services:
Noble Evening in the Garden is their premier fundraising event that combines fine dining from a variety of food vendors, live entertainment and music, and a beautiful garden setting to support Noble’s mission. Held annually during the Indiana Flower & Patio Show, this event brings together community members, businesses, and advocates for an unforgettable night of philanthropy.
The event will be held:
