One organization CCHA is proud to partner with and support is the Hamilton County Community Foundation (HCCF). Established in 1991, the organization was created to address the specific needs in Hamilton County and provide a broader opportunity for Hamilton County residents to create a living legacy and make an impact during their lifetimes, right in their neighborhood.

In 1997, Hamilton County Community Foundation partnered with The Indianapolis Foundation to create Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). CICF and its affiliates are committed to supporting Central Indiana’s most effective and innovative not-for-profit organizations. With more than 100 years of grant-making under their belt, they have a deep understanding of the local not-for-profit landscape.

This partnership has led to a regional approach to grant-making initiatives in Central Indiana and provides a more comprehensive suite of services to fund holders. While CICF is a strategic and synergistic partnership, Hamilton County Community Foundation and The Indianapolis Foundation continue to serve the unique needs of their individual communities.

Education is a primary focus for both HCCF and CICF. Including in 2019, CICF has awarded 4,769 full-tuition scholarships to Indiana students since Lilly Endowment Inc. launched the program in 1998. Since then, more than $405 million in scholarship tuition has been provided through the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program.

HCCF is dedicated to making the community better every day, for everybody. They award grants to effective organizations doing vital work in Hamilton County and support innovative ideas that advance the quality of life for all residents, including improving mental health, empowering families and youth, and advocating for inclusive economic growth. They are mobilizing people, ideas and investment, to make it a community where every individual has equitable opportunity to reach their full potential, no matter their place, race or identity.

CCHA proudly stands behind the Foundation’s efforts, initiatives and goals. We are thrilled to have worked with this organization for decades with attorneys serving on various committees and on the HCC board of directors. Hamilton County is home, so any work being done to maintain or improve it is work we rally behind and support fully, and these organizations are at the helm of innovative work being done, with their innovative and forward-thinking mentalities.
