CCHA Law is pleased to highlight the Forest Park Aquatic Center and the not-for-profit that operates the pool, The Friends of Central Pool, Inc., as impactful nonprofit organizations that serve our local Noblesville community. We are proud to share that CCHA Law attorneys Doug Church and Julia Church Kozicki have been involved with the Forest Park Aquatic Center from the beginning and have helped with fundraising, board service, and membership in the pool for over 20 years.

The Forest Park Aquatic Center is located in Noblesville, Indiana. It has provided a family-friendly swimming facility for the entire community to enjoy since 1976, serving over 50,000 visitors over the course of the summer. When the County Parks Department could not maintain the pool, several Masters Swimmers in the area formed a not-for-profit called “The Friends of Central Pool, Inc.”. They took over the lease of the pool from the county to operate it for the benefit of the citizens of Noblesville and the patrons of the pool. Through various programs, the aquatic center helps individuals and families enjoy the water through daily visits, swim lessons, participating in swimming and diving teams for adults and children, SCUBA training, and even a water polo team.

The facility has a zero-entry, heated Olympic-size swimming pool with ten lanes and a diving pool with a 10-meter diving tower. Families can enjoy “Fast Freddie,” the water slide, and smaller children can access their own activity pool. The aquatic center also features plenty of shaded areas, water geysers, a wall of water, and “Leapin Lizzie,” a pink frog slide.

Supporting the Forest Park Aquatic Center

“The mission of FPAC is to successfully operate and maintain the pool and related facilities. To do that and stay in the black, there are many volunteer hours spent opening and closing the pool, repairing plumbing, electrical, etc.,” said Doug Church, CCHA attorney. “The major fundraiser is the Noblesville Brewfest which we held last weekend.”

CCHA is a proud supporter of the Forest Park Aquatic Center and a sponsor of the center’s fundraiser event, Noblesville Brewfest. The Noblesville Brewfest is Indiana’s premier beer, wine, and spirits sampling event, where all proceeds benefit the aquatic center. Held in Forest Park each fall, the fest offers live music, food, an unlimited sampling of beers, and cornhole competitions. Attending the event, working as a volunteer, or participating as a sponsor directly impacts the Forest Park Aquatic Center and ensures the maintenance of a quality aquatic facility for Noblesville and surrounding communities.

Doug served as president of the Friends Of Central Pool, Inc. for nearly twenty years and coached the Masters swim team for many years, practicing at the Forest Park Aquatic Center pool throughout the summer. Doug and his daughter, Julia, continue to stay involved and invite you to support and enjoy the aquatic center!
