About John

John is Of Counsel to CCHA’s Business, Tax and Utilities practice. John was a client of the firm while general counsel to Indianapolis Water Company for 10 years. He joined CCHA after the utility company was municipalized. Prior to the water company, John was a tax partner at KPMG for 19 years. He spends his time at CCHA working in tax and utility matters, including eminent domain representation of clients before the IRS and Indiana Department of Revenue.

John is also licensed in Wyoming, where he and his wife Susie have a vacation cabin near Laramie. He is an Indiana University (IU) graduate with degrees in accounting and law. He was commissioned in the U.S. Army in 1974 through IU’s ROTC program.

John left CCHA to serve three years in the Mitch Daniels’ administration as General Counsel to the Family and Social Services Administration. He returned to CCHA in 2007. He has been active in the community with the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission (treasurer) and the Central Indiana Vintage Vehicle Association. His wife Susie retired from Noblesville Parks in January 2015.
