#CCHACares: Women for Riley

Each month, CCHA proudly highlights amazing community partners. This month, that honor belongs to Women for Riley, of which our own Rachel Woloshin is a member.
A philanthropic group within Riley Children’s Foundation, Women for Riley is an organization made up of women committed to making a difference in the lives of Riley patients and families, by making annual gifts and volunteering their talents.
Members of the group endorse the philosophy of family-centered care, a mission championed at Riley Hospital. Their collective mission is to provide for the health and well-being of children through support of the Riley Children’s Foundation and the work of Riley Hospital — home to the state’s largest pediatric research program — and Camp Riley — the annual summer camp program lets children with physical disabilities experience life without limits, and adventures that help them build confidence and friendships. Additionally, the Women for Riley focus on helping raise awareness of the hospital and increasing philanthropic support of its programs and services
If you’re looking to become engaged with Women for Riley, we encourage becoming a new member. New member classes are formed once a year and prospective member events are held throughout the year.
Additionally, we encourage everyone to donate to this year’s Riley Prom, which looks just a bit differently this year, due to the pandemic, but will still be a magical night where cancer takes a back seat to fun.
Riley Prom will be held Friday, April 30th this year and will be done via a Prom-In-A-Box and video party for ALL in-patients at the hospital. Women For Riley members are also invited to participate in the virtual fun!
You can also make a one-time or monthly donation to the Riley Children’s Foundation Fund, which supports sick and injured children who need life-saving care. CCHA applauds the life-saving work of Riley Children’s Hospital and the pivotal role Women for Riley play in the bright futures of the children undergoing treatment at Riley Children’s Hospital.
