Monica was born and raised in Kokomo where her father, Jim Martin, was a lawyer for over 50 years. She practiced with him at Martin & Humphrey for over 25 years before merging her practice and joining CCHA in 2020 as Of Counsel. She brings with her a wide range of experience in personal injury and civil litigation, estate administration and planning and family law. Monica is admitted before the Indiana Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

Monica graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a B.S. in business in 1989 and received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1992. She was a recipient of the Manning Scholarship and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence. She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. Monica has an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating possible in both legal ability and ethical standards, reflecting the confidential opinion of judges and fellow attorneys.

When away from the office, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband Jay and their blended family of six children, reading and playing tennis.
