Martin E. Risacher concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, family law, and professional licensure defense. Mr. Risacher is a certified mediator in civil law. Mr. Risacher also serves as corporate counsel to several small and medium-size businesses in the greater Indianapolis area.

Mr. Risacher was born in Washington, Indiana in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969 as a First Lieutenant. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University in 1972 (magna cum laude). He graduated from Indiana University School of Law at Bloomington in 1975.

From 1976-1980, Mr. Risacher served as judge of the Dubois-Martin County Court. He also served as judge of the Dubois Superior Court during the period 1980-1986.

He was a graduate of the Indiana Judicial College in 1982 and served as a member of the faculty of the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada during the period 1980-1986.

After leaving the trial bench, Mr. Risacher served as staff counsel for the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission from 1987-1988.

Mr. Risacher joined the firm in 1989 and became a partner in 1990.

Mr. Risacher is a former member of the Indiana Judges Association. He is a member of the Indiana, Indianapolis, and Hamilton County Bar Associations as well as the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Risacher speaks at Indiana Continuing Legal Education seminars on legal ethics.

Mr. Risacher’s outside interests include competitive tennis and listening to contemporary jazz.
